And that's a wrap! What a week of learning and growing! Today, we started our Cultivate Programming at the Park Rapids ALC. We had members from Leech Lake Wellness Court/Tribal Law Enforcement talk about what drugs are out there, side effects, overdosing, and how to use Narcan effectively. Then Curtis and Toddie talked about their recovery journeys.

Thank you all for coming today! The work you do matters! Thank you to the ALC students for listening in along with other visitors in the room!

I am looking forward to next month with this group of students!

Our Executive Director will start the Cultivate Program this week in the Park Rapids Alternative Learning Center (PR ALC). Programs will include guest speakers on a variety of topics relating to youth issues, learning food/hospitality skills, learning about community resources, and how to just enjoy being a youth. We would like to thank the PR ALC for allowing us to positively impact the youth in their program! We look forward to many more connections with youth all over Hubbard County!

YESS received tax-exempt status in early October 2023. The leadership of YESS must develop sustainable and achievable goals along with strategic planning. We are looking at how to create community connections to get complete wrap-around support for the youth in Hubbard County. We hope the communities will embrace YESS and all it has to offer.
